Here's how a craze got started...
Jewish Boy Meets Chinese Girl and SOY VAY! A Sauce is Born.
One fine day in 1982, a nice Chinese girl offered a nice Jewish boy a taste of her homemade marinated beef sticks. Before long, the two were selling the tasty skewers at fairs all over Northern California. The couple began to experiment with new receipes and were soon bottling their own line of sauces, marinades and dressings. To honor the combined heritage of their two cultures, they dubbed their new venture SOY VAY. "This could be the start of something big," mused the nice Jewish boy, and he was right.
Soy Vay sauces, marinades, and dressings have an uncanny way of bringing out the spirit of adventure in kitchens all across America. Some parents claim it's the best way to get kids to gobble up their meals. One bite, and your taste buds will jump for joy and beg for more.
