padNew York, NY

Patsy's Italian Restaurant is a traditional, family-owned and operated Italian restaurant located in the theater district on Manhattan’s west side. Since 1944, when Pasquale (Patsy) Scognamillo opened the place, Patsy’s has entertained a loyal following which includes many well-known personalities. Patsy's son, Joe, still runs the front of the house. His grandson, Sal, is Executive Chef, and several family members are active throughout the business.

For years, Patsy's was synonymous with Frank Sinatra. It was his primary dining spot in New York. Those many nights when 'The Voice' entertained his Rat Pack pals on the second floor are past, but the memories linger. Tom Hanks proposed to his wife, Rita Wilson, in Booth #1. Kirk Douglas, James Cagney, Angie Dickinson, Debbie Reynolds, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney (if you don't remember her as a singer, she's George's aunt), Jackie Gleason, Gregory Peck, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Leonard Nimoy, Calvin Klein, Oprah Winfrey, Carroll O'Connor, Jerry Stiller (George's dad on 'Seinfeld' and Ben's dad IRL), David Letterman, Kim Basinger, and Evander Holyfield are just a few of the hundreds of other stars you would recognize. Recently, Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Lopez, Sean "Puffy" Combs and Rudy Giuliani have frequented the restaurant because of its unpretentious Neapolitan roots

“Patsy’s is more than a restaurant. To me, it’s a touchstone.”—Nancy Sinatra

“Patsy’s is the old New York, the best New York, and a throwback to my mother’s Italian feasts from yesterday.”—Regis Philbin

“I’ve been going to Patsy’s for more than fifty years, many times with my friend Frank Sinatra.”—Tony Bennett

“Patsy’s is the restaurant I go to the moment I arrive in New York. I feel as though I have family there.”—Rosemary Clooney

“Patsy’s has become my home for dinner. I have never felt more welcome or comfortable anywhere.”—Rush Limbaugh

“I enjoy both the southern Italian home cooking and the warm welcome that greets me.”—Gregory Peck

“It’s still our favorite New York restaurant. Whenever the Stiller family gets together to celebrate, we go ‘home’ to Patsy’s.”—Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara

“Eating at Patsy’s is not just a dinner, but a great experience of friendship and food.”—Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme

“If I lived in New York, I’d be at Patsy’s two or three times a week.”—Debbie Reynolds

“Everybody goes to Patsy’s. ”—Michael Feinstein

Throughout the years, Patsy's customers urged the family to bottle their uniquely delicious tomato-based pasta sauces. Finally in 1994, to commemorate the restaurant's 50th Anniversary, Patsy's began to bottle its famous Marinara sauce. Since then, they’ve added six new pasta sauces along with several other, very special products. Patsy's bottled sauces are prepared with the same quality ingredients as those served in the celebrated restaurant. All of the sauces meet the family's exacting standards. The fresh taste of Patsy's sauces will change the way you think about sauce in a jar.
