 Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods Company was born in 1969, but the story behind the company begins long before then.
Mark Wieser spent Summers as a child in his dad's peach orchard in Fredericksburg, Texas. At a young age he understood that the value of a quality crop was reflected by loyal customers. In those days, Mark's family operated a little roadside stand, selling bushels of fresh-picked peaches and his Mom's homemade, peach preserves. Customers remembered the Wiesers year after year from those great peaches and wonderful preserves.
Years later, Mark taught school when he wasn't in the orchard and lots of his students helped out picking peaches. One such young man who worked for many years helping Mark developed such a love for the business that he went to Texas A&M University to study food processing. That young man, Case Fischer, later returned to Fredericksburg and became Mark's business partner. Over the years, the two have developed a bond as strong as father and son.
Today the company calls a historic warehouse just a block off Main Street in Fredericksburg home. The tradition that started the company all those years ago is still what drives it today: produce a quality product and loyal customers will embrace it. Fischer & Wieser now produces over 75 products the same way it did back then - handcrafted one jar at a time.
