 We started from one small work-shop and one big dream; all starts at the beginning of this century, when Ruggero Bauli begins his activity with a traditional recipe, rich with simple goodness: Pandoro. The recipe follows a time-honoured Italian confectionery tradition, yet possesses at the same time some indisputably modern characteristics such as the natural leavening process.
Ruggero Bauli realised that there was enormous potential for development in this field. His determination led him to take an important decision: in 1950 he start industrial production and, thus, set up the necessary structure for this kind of activity, which proved to be a success. His next step was then to define guidelines, to establish the company's mission. The goal was to project into the future an ancient art, the art of Veronese confectioners, a unique patrimony that Bauli carries with itself.
The market shows its appreciation for this kind of product. Bauli soon covers the whole home market and the credibility of its name begins to be acknowledged. The recognition of this trade-mark is a powerful driving force towards company development and change. This becomes even more consistent with the arrival of Ruggero Bauli's three sons, Alberto, Adriano and Carlo, who are still guiding the company today. The 60s, years of great transformation and unrest; scenes change and a need is felt to establish those company values which are to become the company's principle guidelines, reference points to be constantly referred to and acknowledged always: guarantee Quality and Innovation, fundamental values that will never die.
At Bauli we consider the past much more a tool than a memory. When we look back over the years we can see the changes and innovations that have allowed us to grow, we see our enthusiasm to meet tomorrow's opportunities. This time-beaten track is a tale to be told which nevertheless does not hinder the need of future-targeted orientation. Insights to the future lie in our past, because it is there that our visions of tomorrow originate.
